About Chris Kearney

Hi, I’m Chris Kearney, your community-backed Independent candidate for Jagajaga.

My wife and I have lived in Jagajaga for 45 years, raising our family and being active members of this great community. I’ve worked as a teacher, environmental consultant, and business analyst for over 40 years, across the education, transport, finance, electricity, and telecommunications sectors. I hold tertiary qualifications in science, education, and computing and have partnered in multiple small businesses

The Community Independent movement in Jagajaga asked me to run as their candidate. At first, I was reluctant, but my desire to secure a better future for my children and grandchildren inspired me to step forward.

We need action on climate, stronger integrity in politics, and a fairer society for all. It's time for positive, visionary solutions to create a prosperous future.

I’ll be out volunteering with the Voices of Jagajaga in the lead-up to the election. I’d love to hear what matters most to you and your family at our street meets and door knocks. Your feedback will shape the policies we've already developed based on community surveys.

Free from the influences of corporate donations and the party politics of the major parties, together we can bring true representative democracy to Jagajaga.
